What to Expect at Kitsilano Animal Clinic

Kitsilano Animal Clinic has a team of expert veterinary professionals that bring you the best possible healthcare and services for you and your pet. We have a state-of-the-art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. 

If you are a new client, please provide your pet’s medical history, including any recent behavioural changes or other details that you think will be important. Previous records are helpful or let us know which clinic(s) you’ve been to in the past so that we can request records. To book an appointment, please start by completing our New Client Form.

We recommend annual check-ups for your pet’s health and wellness. This includes a thorough physical exam where our care team will assess your pet from head to tail. This can include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. You can discuss your concerns with the Doctor. The doctor may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. If there are any tests due and the veterinarian determines that your pet is healthy, they can administer vaccines. If you are here for a sick appointment as opposed to a regular check up, this service is provided by request. For every visit we will weigh your pet during check-in. 

A tech appointment is an appointment with our veterinary technician or assistant. Your pet will be taken to the treatment room for the requested service(s). Typically these are nail trims, fluid treatments, anal glands expressions, and many other services. 

24-hour notice is required for any appointment cancellations or rescheduling.

• We accept payment via Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, direct debit, or cash
• We have Trupanion VetDirect Pay direct billing
• We do not offer in-house payment plans, but financing is available through Scratchpay, humm and Petcard
• Estimates available by request

We are happy to work with your pet insurance provider. Options commonly used by our clients include:
