We are so happy to have discovered Kitsilano Animal Clinic, where we bring our 4-year-old German Shepherd, Caesar. In a very short time we have come to trust and respect the doctors and staff there, and we love the great service. Caesar is also very fond of his wonderful doctor, Terry. Staff all helpful and knowledgeable from the time of setting up the appointment for neuter to the follow up call the day after surgery. Nails are clipped while under anesthetic and I elected microchip placement as a safeguard against loss. Dropped off my puppy - Finn - at 9 a.m and received a call from Dr. Eisen when Finn was under. She noted he still had a couple of baby teeth in place and to avoid any future needs to be put under we decided they should be removed. A call came at about 2 saying Finn was doing well, surgery went well and I could pick him up about 4:30. Written and verbal instructions on follow up and what to expect post surgery and the need for anti-inflammatory medications were provided and I was given plenty of time to ask questions. I felt that all at the clinic cared for and about my puppy. What a great group of caring animal health care providers! - Laura Frith

I have brought both my cats here for 5+ years. They are fantastic. They have worked with me and my budget to make sure that my cats have the best care and solutions to their occasional health issues and accidents. A very good friend of mine also goes to this clinic and I accompanied her when it was time to put down her elderly and sick cat. The deep understanding and compassion they expressed, even allowing her to go in to pet and say her last good bye was extremely heart warming... it still brings tears to my eyes. After our vet moved back home I spent months looking for a good clinic with staff that really cared about their patients/clients. Being a veterinary assistant myself, I am extremely picky when it comes to the care of my pups. We are very happy to have found Teri and her lovely staff! My pup has a fear of strangers but he loved Teri from the very beginning. She's a crazy dog lady just like me! Dr. Terry Eisen is great; she explains things well, and in my experience has offered great preventative tips and advice, and hasn't suggested unnecessary tests or medication. The whole team just seemed to care which was a great start a new clinic! Very accommodating in setting the appointment and making sure my dog was seen as soon as possible, clear communication to set expectations. Doctor and team were professional and friendly, loved that they took the time to just talk to clients and answer questions without asking for fee's up front.
